On May 29, Beijing Hospitality Institute (BHI) successfully held the third-semester Internship Fair and University-Enterprise Cooperation Commendation and Award Ceremony for the Class of 2025. With the mission of building bridges through university-enterprise collaboration and empowering growth through industry-education integration, this event brought together high-quality industry resources to create a platform that precisely connects student talent with employer needs. This internship fair served as both a comprehensive review of the institute's talent cultivation achievements and a foundational step for students embarking on their professional careers.
The event invited nearly 160 companies from 12 provinces and cities across the country, providing BHI students with a total of over 1,500 high-quality internship positions. The positions were of high in quality, abundant in number, diverse in scope, and competitive in benefits.
In terms of company composition, the industry distribution was diverse and precisely aligned with the institute's characteristics and students' development needs. Additionally, this fair expanded into the broader service industry sector, attracting nearly 20 leading companies from fields such as high-end property management, premium senior care, high-end catering, business services, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), and intelligent manufacturing, offering students opportunities for cross-disciplinary career choices.
Dialogue with Employers – A Two-Way Connection
Institute leaders, all faculty from the Internship and Career Guidance Center, course instructors, and counselors visited the fair to closely monitor students' interview progress, provide guidance, and further communicate with companies to understand their employment needs and the students' interview performance.
Award Ceremony
On the day of the fair, the award ceremony for the Beijing Hospitality Institute's "2026 University-Enterprise Cooperation Commendation" was held at the Swiss Bar in the teaching hotel. In attendance were Dr. Gao Songtao, President of Beijing Hospitality Institute; Guo Hongbo, Vice President; Guo Ruihuan, Director of Business Development Department; representatives from outstanding corporate partners; intern representatives; and all faculty from the BHI Internship and Career Guidance Center.
This commendation included two major awards: the "Best Internship Partner Award," which was democratically elected by the entire student body and reflects the genuine recognition and appreciation of the students; and the "Annual School-Enterprise Cooperation Excellence Award," which honors outstanding companies that fully supported the institute's development, enthusiastically sponsored campus activities, facilitated faculty exchanges, and deeply participated in university-enterprise co-construction in 2026.

Speech by President Gao Songtao
President Gao Songtao began by expressing his sincere gratitude to all partner companies that have worked alongside the institute over the years. He mentioned that this year, over a thousand BHI students will be undertaking internships at major hotels and related enterprises. He stated that it is thanks to the strong support of these partners that BHI has grown into a high-quality institution with outstanding capabilities over its 18 years of operation. He expressed the institute's desire to continue moving forward with all parties, innovating talent cultivation models, and contributing to the long-term development of the industry and the professional growth of young people. BHI's doors are always open for cooperation, not only in nurturing its own students but also in promoting the overall progress of the hotel industry.
He pointed out that the institute will continue to deepen university-enterprise cooperation, striving towards the goal of becoming a top-tier hotel management institution both domestically and globally. He gave special thanks to the partner companies for their meticulous guidance and support of the students during their internships, helping them to learn and grow continuously through practice.

Mr. Cameron Cundle, Managing Director of The Peninsula Beijing, first expressed his heartfelt thanks to President Gao Songtao and the institute for the sincere invitation and the honor. He noted that this recognition from the institute is incredibly meaningful for his hotel's team.
Mr. Cundle stated that cultivating young talent is a vital responsibility for those deeply rooted in the industry. He specifically mentioned the Business English Creative Competition previously co-hosted by the hotel and the institute, where the outstanding performance of BHI students greatly impressed his team. He pointed out that the students were confident, passionate, and unafraid to take risks—an enterprising spirit that is the key driving force for the continuous development of the hotel industry. He highly praised the talent cultivation achievements of Beijing Hospitality Institute and affirmed that the hotel will continue to build high-quality platforms to help students pursue their dreams and grow. In his speech, Mr. Jesus Romero, General Manager of Hyatt Regency Beijing Wangjing, expressed his honor in representing the hotel and its entire team at the event. As a university-enterprise partner, he was proud to witness the growth of the institute's outstanding students and contribute to the talent development and future of the hotel industry. He highly commended Beijing Hospitality Institute for its dedication and success in cultivating hospitality talent, praising the institute for consistently supplying high-quality professionals to the industry.

Qi Ahida, an intern at the Talent & Culture Department of The Peninsula Beijing, spoke as the student representative. He began by extending his sincere gratitude to the hotel's leadership, industry seniors, and the institute. He was deeply thankful for the high-quality internship platform and meticulous guidance provided by the hotel, which helped him grow rapidly during his internship.
He shared his internship experiences, noting that his department seniors generously shared their knowledge, explaining tasks such as resume screening, new employee orientation, and employee event planning in detail. Their patience and tolerance helped him overcome his anxieties and gain experience, allowing him to deeply understand the core service philosophy of "people-oriented." The hotel's ultimate pursuit of service quality, the team's dedicated work attitude, and the warm, family-like atmosphere helped him establish a proper and rigorous professional demeanor.
He stated that this internship experience is a precious starting point for his career. The attitude, passion for service, and professionalism he learned in practice will accompany him throughout his future professional development.
